I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1981, and emigrated to New Zealand in 1983. I completed general practice training in Greymouth, gaining Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1998. We moved to Nelson in 1999. I believe that my work as a general practitioner grants me the privilege of sharing in other’s lives, and I immensely enjoy the wide variety of general practice, in particular Geriatrics, dementia care and palliative care. Pastimes outside of medicine include reading, music, walking and enjoying our beautiful Nelson region, and spending time with our daughters and grandchildren.
